The body is the personality exploded into three dimensions

— Dr. Ida P Rolf

What is Rolfing® Structural Integration?

Rolfing® Structural Integration is a form of bodywork and movement re-education that works with the connective tissue and nervous system to release, realign, and balance the whole body.

Developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, this systematic approach addresses the root causes of pain and dysfunction rather than just treating symptoms.

Through a series of sessions, I work to:

  • Release chronic tension
  • Improve posture and alignment
  • Enhance flexibility and range of motion
  • Optimize movement patterns for daily activities
  • Create better balance and coordination

Who gets integrated?

Rolfing® Structural Integration is for everyone that has a body. My clientele range from sedentary to fitness enthusiasts. Clients are drawn to this work due to injuries, finding alternatives to their movement habits or a need to discover their bodies on a deeper level. I have been a dancer for 30 years and I think of a Rolfing® session as a duet —relational, harmonic, and balanced.

What does a Rolfing® Structural Integration session look like?

  • Sessions are 75 minutes
  • First session will be 90 minutes to go over an intake form
  • You will be lying down, standing, moving and walking
  • Structural analysis
  • Sessions include palpation, soft tissue manipulation and movement

What should I wear to my Rolfing® Structural Integration session?

Wear loose and comfortable clothing made of stretchy material. Clients typically wear running shorts and sports bras.

How often do I need Rolfing® Structural Integration?

Like a vehicle, our bodies need tune ups to maintain peak performance. After your initial Rolfing Ten series, we can discuss options to continue working together to find the best fit for you and your lifestyle. The frequency is different for every body.
